Fur Moment

The main function of fur is its practical warmth that made it essential clothing for the natives in colder regions. In the middle ages, fur fashion became increasingly attached to the non-tangible; it was the luxurious appearance and the societal position that fur reveals about the wearer that became its most important purpose, which I guess still remains until this day.

Furthermore, as the fur trade has experienced a boom and bust, fur fashion and fur clothes became significant in symbolising a certain nostalgia and glory of period of untapped and potential and unlimited exploration. The price for fur to this day remains high which is probably the main reason why fur is coupled with certain elitism. The history of fur that has endured a fluctuation in its supply and demand has made fur fashion the most unique material of clothing but it has made it one of the more controversial too.

Faux fur on the other hand has become increasing popular on the high street as it instantly glamourises an outfit and doesn't harm any animals. The Autumnal and Winter season is when the trend comes alive making fashion seem sophisticated rather than shabby.

Too much fun, not enough blogging.

DSC04795DSC04845DSC04889DSC04865

Yep that’s right, guilty again for not blogging! I’ve been having to much fun spending time with my family and friends that I’ve kind of drifted from my blog this summer. I just need to spend every ounce with them, after all I am moving to London in two weeks time! Yep I’ve been getting wasted, meeting Hello Kitty, dressing up like a star and spending time at museums and other fun places with the siblings :)

Summertime Sadness

DSC04759DSC04761

Now I bet you’re all getting bored of reading OOTD’s but I’m lazy! The weather’s been a bit up and down recently, some days I wear dresses and the next I’m back in jackets! I’ve become a very simplistic person when it comes to outfits because I just feel that you don’t need to overdress all the time.

What I’m Wearing:

Top: H&M

Jacket: Topshop

Jeans: Topshop

Bag: Fiorelli

Scarf: Oasis

It’s results day tomorrow too which needs to come quicker as I’m keen to know what grades I have got and also if I have gotten into university. I’m not particularly a stress head when it comes to results day because no matter what I get there’s always a Plan B so I don’t worry as much. Just live each day as it comes, there’s no need to waste a day being scared of what could might happen as you never know. So good luck to anyone who is receiving their A Level results tomorrow, I’m sure you’ll be fine and if not it’s not the end of the world, I can promise you that :)

OOTD

OOTD’s are becoming the easiest posts to do because it quick and simple! Can’t believe I’m wearing leather jackets and fur in August, wish the sun would just come back! I wore this outfit to do a bit of food shopping and at the park, I love these boyfriend jeans because they are so comfy! It’s difficult to style them though because sometimes I can end up looking like a right boy, haa!

What I’m Wearing:

Top: H&M

Jacket: Topshop

Fur Stole: New Look

Boyfriend Jeans: Topshop

Vans: Office

Happy August!

DSC04707DSC04708

August already?! Blimey does time fly by, will definitely be doing my July Favourites this week! I’ve had a pretty chilled day today, went into town today and had lunch with my lovely friend and have generally just had a relaxed day. I was wearing a leather jacket with this outfit because I thought I was cold but I was actually baking! I completely regret wearing a jumper but I love it so much, I love the colours on it and it was from Tesco! Yeah TESCO, my trusted friend! Haaa!

What I’m Wearing:

Jumper: Tesco

Jeans: Topshop

Bag: Next

Countryside Day

DSC04648

Went to Foxton Locks yesterday which was absolutely lovely! I love going on country walks, during the hols we try to go almost everyday to get some fresh air. If we go to ones near us then I’m usually in my Superdry’s and a hoodie but seeing as we went a bit more further I decided to wear something a bit decent yet comfortable at the same time :) I also took a jumper with me because it was a little windy, I just threw it over my shoulders.

What I’m Wearing:

Vest Top: Topshop

Trousers: Zara

Jumper: H&M

Rayban knock offs: Cosmo Mag

I also wore my burgundy Vans but I don’t think my mum understood that I wanted my whole outfit it, haha!
